This object is a characteristic vintage design planter from the well-known pottery factory Mobach Keramiek B.V., which was founded in 1895.
The pot features the highly recognizable T-model or chalice shape (a wide, flared top on a narrower, cylindrical base) and is finished with a typical mottled glaze in burgundy red, beige and earthy tones. This type of wheel-thrown brutalist and mid-century pottery was particularly popular in the 1960s and 1970s and is now a collectors item among lovers of Dutch design.
There is a maker's mark on the bottom.
